Higher water temperatures enhance adsorption capacity, and the pH of the water also affects adsorption performance.
Applications of Granular Activated Carbon:
Granular activated carbon is widely used in industries such as water treatment, air purification, chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, and food and beverages. Particularly in water purification, granular activated carbon effectively removes impurities like residual chlorine (Cl), calcium ions (Ca), and magnesium ions (Mg) from water, improving water quality, reducing pollutant accumulation in water treatment equipment, extending equipment lifespan, and lowering maintenance costs.
Test data on the efficacy of granular activated carbon in removing residual chlorine from water show that KDF (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion) media-filled filters perform exceptionally well, achieving over 98% removal efficiency, while granular activated carbon water purifiers achieve about 78.5% removal efficiency. Granular activated carbon can remove up to 23.01% of nitrate nitrogen and up to 29.86% of SO₄²⁻.
